Welcome To U.S. Border Fire Report
Mexican Drug Cartel’s Cash is King!
By Michael Webster: Syndicated Investigative reporter. May 25, 2010 at 11:30 AM PDT
3rd. in a multiple part series.
This pile of cash before it was counted was estimated to be approximately 18 Million Dollars! After it was counted it turned out to be a little more than 22 Million Dollars!
The worldwide drug business is a multi - billion dollar industry that is cash only and the Mexican Drug Cartel’s (MDC's) “Cash is King” The MDC’s spread that cash around to Heads of State, politicians, including the cop on the beat to the highest levels in law enforcement on both sides of the U.S. Mexican border.
The MDC’s literally having more cash than they know what to do with. These gangsters are global in scope. Many American businesses from bankters, tire companies and gentlemen clubs, to the small cash businesses such as donut shops, laundry mats and any business that is a cash business the MDC’S exploit and thieve on and use the purchase and operation of these businesses to launder their illicit cash from drug sells and use them to move more drugs through. Billions of dollars are smuggled into Mexico each year from drug sells and profits from businesses owned by MDC's.
The MDC’s are the head of the drug business and that business is run like a corporation. The MDC's control everything in Mexico. Now they even control and have combined the smuggling of both drugs and humans into the U.S. It is estimated that million of humans are smuggled into the U.S and hundreds of tons of drugs each year. The corporate structure is the MDC’s who are at the head, they bring the raw materials together and grow or have grown Mexican weed, and they produce cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine by the tons.
Then those drugs are passed onto the cartel Mexican gangs, who in turn sell or front the drugs to other Mexican gangs who then sell or front the same drugs to American street gangs and American biker gangs, who sell it on the streets of America.
Most of the killings are as a direct result of a drug deal having gone bad or someone in the chain ripped someone off and did not pay for the fronted drugs and most drive by shootings in America are elated revenge murders. Many ordered by the MDC’s.
In Mexico since the Calderon administration started the Mexican war on drugs about 6 years ago almost 30,000 Mexicans have been killed. More than in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. Most of these deaths were carried out in gang land fashion killings. They were gun shots to the head and body, beheadings and other gross methods. Many of these assassins use expensive gold plated hand guns, assault rifles and other automatic weapons.
Gold machine guns, pistols and ammo.
If it were not for the American drug market and the huge amounts of cash passed on though American banks, Wall street and other large corporations who have laundered dirty cash for the MDC’s the drug business would come to a holt.
The Federal Reserve which is owned by the bankters which in turn control our government the drug business is here to stay. To many powerful people benefit directly and indirectly from all this cash and as Wall Street has proven time and time again that greed is their motivation there is no end in sight. Not long ago MDC’s would have transported to American banks cash in hundreds of duffle bags. The following photo’s of millions in cash was taken at a MDC’s lords home in Mexico.
That is millions in USD (cash) piled on that table in the background!
Guns and cash were hidden all over the house along with ample Ammo
This cabinet was full of $100 dollar bills and this was only one of many others fund in the home. Stacks of cash were found in every nook and cranny.
This case is filled with 100 dollar Bills estimated to be 1/2 a million dollars authorities believe this cash was headed for a bribe to some powerful politician
Former President George Bush #1 was put in charge of America’s drug interdiction program (War on Drugs) by former President Ronald Reagan and all American Presidents since and other leaders have seemed to turn a blind eye on the War on Drugs by refusing to secure the border.
Speaker of
the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said recently that it is
simply cheaper to treat teens for drug addiction than it is
to stop drug smugglers at our border with Mexico.
Incarceration is the next cheapest. It costs seven times
more to incarcerate than to have treatment on demand. It
costs 15 times more to interdict at the border.”
The United States Government has spent a trillion dollars on the so called War on Drugs over the last four decades. The fact is that war has been lost. The war on terror has cost to date that amount and more and we surely have not won that war either.
The war on drugs and the war on terror are the same thing. Choose either one to fight and you’ll be fighting both.
Ending both wars in the Middle East and legalizing weed will save the U.S. trillions of dollars even before we consider the billions we would save by setting free the Americans charged with drug offences. 99% of the millions incarcerated in the U.S. are drug users or small dealers. Hardly any top level drug lords are imprisoned anywhere in the world. Cutting the huge judiciary, lawyers, and law enforcement that would no longer be needed would save billions more.
With these savings major health care could be provided for every man, woman and child in America, free schooling from kindergarten through collage, with billions lift over to reduce the national debt.
Many large American banks over the years have been used to launder the MDC’s cash. Just last week Wachovia bank executives admitted that the banking giant laundered millions of dollars for Mexican drug lords between 2003 and 2008.
The bank has promised to pay $160 million in fines and penalties and to set up new safeguards within a year to prevent drug money from coming through the bank. If it fails in that effort, Wachovia could face criminal charges, says Jeffrey Sloman, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District. "Wachovia's blatant disregard for our banking laws gave international cocaine cartels a virtual carte blanche to finance their operations," Sloman said at a meeting in downtown Miami. "[They] laundered at least $110 million in drug proceeds." The feds built a case against Wachovia around the bank's relationship with Mexican exchange banks called CDCs (or casas de cambio).
Wachovia execs knew as early as 1996 that the Mexican CDCs were hot spots for drug money but kept doing business with them anyway, Sloman says.
American banks routed billions of dollars in the past ten years through the CDCs without any effective oversight into where the cash was coming from. Prosecutors were able to trace some of that money to the purchase of several airplanes used in drug runs, which led to more than 20,000 kilos of cocaine being seized by investigators. Under an agreement signed by federal Judge Joan Leonard, Wachovia will forfeit $110 million in illegal proceeds from drug sales and pay an additional $50 million fine. Many people in the know believe this is but a fraction of the cash that has been laundered through many of America’s largest banks, and very little has really been done to control it, much less stop it.Sources:Los ZetasU.S. Border Patrol DEAFBICIAU.S. ArmyMexican MilitaryMexican Law EnforcementMexican President Filipe Calderon's public statementsCatholic Church of MexicoUnited States Civil DefenseAmerican Border Patrol
